Tolerant observers in this roundtable discussion shared their opinion and shrugged off opposing views with indifference. But the longtime, diehard fans clung to their views like Spidey to a wall. (more…)

The holidays are here and the countdown to December 25 has begun. As of today, there are only 43 days until Christmas!

Such news might supply a rush of joyful anticipation to the kiddies. Adults, on the other hand, (particularly those with kids whose wish lists include smaller yet increasingly expensive gifts) might feel that same rush followed promptly by a shudder and a quick jotting of mental notes. (more…)

Vibrant foliage colors, exciting festivities, and Starbucks’ pumpkin spice lattes all help make fall my favorite time of year. Although people often say Southern California doesn’t experience “real” seasons, the signs of change are here. Our founder, Hugh Ross, aptly describes autumn in SoCal in an upcoming ministry letter:

Some things are better together.

I fret whenever I’m not home to make dinner for my husband, Darren. He sweetly assures me he can survive for one night without my culinary skills—after all, he did so before we married. While it’s true that Darren and I lived happy, productive lives before our relationship, we both know we’re much better together. We inspire, cheer, and motivate each other to new and higher potentials. We bring out the best in each other.

In the realm of Christian missions, apologetics and evangelism enable each other to achieve true and lasting success—yet they often live apart, to the detriment of both endeavors. (more…)
