Water

If all of the raindrops
Were lemon drops and gumdrops
Oh, what a rain that would be!

I imagine that sort of “rain” would be more like a sugary hailstorm (à la Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs). While our Creator did not see fit to endow the skies with a candy dispenser, He did create a sweet water cycle perfectly suited to support life and human civilization. (more…)

Ask people about their summer vacation and many will tell you they spent their time at the beach, the river, or the lake. In fact, as you read this blog, I’m enjoying a relaxing swim in the sapphire blue waters of Lake Tahoe.

This precious liquid also reveals a lot about the uniqueness of our planet and about the Creator who designed it. (more…)

Most non-native Californians travel to the Golden State to bask in its seemingly endless sunshine. But over the last few days, our typical 70-degree weather has been replaced with torrential rains. Back-to-back winter storms continue to slam Southern California cities—with some areas getting as much as an inch and a half of rain per hour. And residents, especially those in burn areas, are definitely recognizing the power of water. (more…)
